With Sigma Photo Pro I delete ones that are obviously dud, "mark" ones I particularly like (and typically do some light adjustments if necessary) and simply leave the ones in between. For example, after I copy some images across from the camera, the first thing I do is go through each one in sequence, effectively to grade them. However, it would be nice to have other setups tailored for specific processes users go through in using RAW files. One final suggestion is something a bit more fundamental - the interface is effectively "one size fits all". Currently, the thumbnail cache is nulled when moving to a new directory. This would speed up changing views between directories. ie cache up to "X" thumbnails, including between directories, and when adding images to a full cache, the "oldest" (in terms of when last used/displayed) thumbnails are replaced. ![]() Maybe you should cache the numbnails images with a "least recently used" algorithm. (incidentally, a feature I'd like to have which I've yet to see any program do is remember the last couple of directories saved to, so you can easily flip between them, instead of having to re-navigate each time). However, I don't seem to be able to replicate this problem.įor sharp mask, would be nice feature that when pop-up the box it could show a say 300x300 pixel region from the image at 100% (near where recently selected a point/region perhaps) and dynamically show the effects of the sharp mask as you adjust the sliders.įor saving a single file, it doesn't remember the directory of where you last saved the file. Here's some feedback on some things that I think could be improved (after quick look only.)Īfter playing with the unsharp mask a bit, and doing some cropping I kept getting "external error" messages (or something like that). You should not download and install this program if you are uncomfortable using beta software. The program is provided as-is, and will expire on September 15, 2004. ![]() Some program features have not yet been fully tested or implemented, and no helpfile is included. Please note that this is unfinished beta software, and should be treated accordingly. The X3F processing library used in RAW PhotoDesk was developed jointly by Foveon and Polybytes, Inc., and incorporates the same imaging algorithms found in standard Foveon viewing and conversion products. You can now download beta 0.13 of RAW PhotoDesk, a Windows program to browse, edit and batch process raw image files from most digital cameras, including Sigma SD9 and SD10.
